An impactful approach

The impact of sport for peace and development is far-reaching and multifaceted. From promoting social cohesion and conflict resolution to improving health and well-being, fostering gender equality, and driving economic development, sport has emerged as a powerful tool for positive change. Recognizing and harnessing the potential of sport can lead to transformative outcomes, both at the individual and community levels. As we move forward, it is crucial to continue supporting and investing in sport programs that promote peace, inclusivity, and development, harnessing the immense power that sport holds as a catalyst for social progress.

Ndayiragije Ezechiel

Before taking part in the training programmes offered by the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation on peacekeeping, social cohesion and self-development, I was a thief, a drug user and other criminals. Now I am a transformed man, and I raise awareness of peace and development through theatres. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation and its programme to transform and support young people.

Tuyisenge Divine

I'm Divine TUYISENGE, a student, and I am part of the CNF's programs that benefit me. As a girl from the countryside, where most parents do not talk or give sex education to their children, I was struggling with that taboo and was in the dilemma of what is right and what is wrong. However, through one of the CNF's programs, "Sport for Women," we learned a lot about women and everything that comes with it. I am very grateful for that golden chance. I always put them in my prayers .

Dusengimana Marcelline

My family is a returning immigrant, and my name is Marceline Dusengimana. We found it difficult to interact with the locals when we returned to our nation and we felt unwelcome. But because of the social cohesion and peacebuilding training offered by the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation, we have been able to remove this stigma by bringing together residents and returnees. Now we are happily live together in the mutual understanding like brothers and sisters.
